Pizza Pizza Pizza "The time has come, the walrus said, to speak of many things." He went to talk about a lot of nonsense when he could have talked about Pizza. In a word, in this area "BOOMERS" a local Pizza shop tucked between the Hair salon and the Cafe is one of the poorer kept secrets of western Oakland county. It's on Grand River, between Milford Rd and South Hill Rd. (no that is not S. Hill Rd {if you look for Hill Rd you will not get there since it runs North and south} but I digress). The thing that you notice is that it smells like pizza. Remember in the early days before megachain pizza? Go into your neighborhood pizza shop and the smell was delicious--like that. Go for "Boomers Buddies" a nice deal on a "2fer." Prices are very good. They make a fairly good submarine, I haven't tried the chicken yet. But Mrs GG and I have their pizza at least twice a month. Atmosphere? Hey it's a pizza shop not a restaurant.
Rating? Pizza 8 oniks, subs 6 oinks. November 20, 1995 Well folks, hop in your buggies and motor out Grand River to a place called "Boomers" and go crazy cause its the best "za" around, bar none. Try it you'll like love it. It's by Grand River and Milford Rd (in that New Hudson shopping center). If this stuff don't get your attention nothing will. yours the Galloping Glutton @ Charles Grifor 1996,1997 |
